When it comes to traditional Australian country music, few are more respected than Dianne Lindsay an award-winning bush ballad singer, songwriter, and tireless ambassador for the genre.
Born into country music royalty as the daughter of pioneers Reg Lindsay and Heather McKean, Dianne has carved out her own remarkable career. With multiple Golden Guitar finalist spots, induction into both the Tamworth Hands of Fame (2014) and the American Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame (2011), and five time winner of the Tamworth People’s Choice Female Vocal Award, she has earned a reputation second to none.
Together with her husband Peter Simpson, Dianne co-hosts the popular radio program The Australian Bush Ballad Show, broadcast across Australia and New Zealand, and the pair are the driving force behind the Back To The Bush Spectacular at the Tamworth Country Music Festival an event dedicated to keeping the bush ballad tradition alive.
