HELPING HANDS TRIVIA NIGHT - JENIEKAH
SATURDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER | 6:30PM - START 7:00PM | TEAMS OF 6 - $150 ($25PP)
Jeniekah is a beautiful, strong and compassionate 13 year old who loves camping, riding motorbikes, spending time on the Clarence River with her family and learning about her culture. She was excited to start Year 8 at Grafton High School and was looking forward to a year filled with friends, school and new adventures.
Just one month into the school year, Jeniekah's world changed forever when she was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer. Following her diagnosis, Jeniekah and her family relocated to Queensland Children's Hospital, where she began intensive treatment.
Despite months of chemotherapy and complex surgery, the cancer continued to spread, leading to the heartbreaking decision to amputate her leg to give her the best chance of beating the disease.
Today, Jeniekah continues to show incredible courage as she undergoes ongoing chemotherapy, adapts to life with a prosthetic leg and begins the long journey of rehabilitation as she learns to walk again.
Since her diagnosis, Jeniekah and her family have spent months away from home while she receives ongoing specialist treatment. Living away from Grafton has placed significant emotional and financial strain on the family through travel, accommodation, medical and everyday living expenses.
This diagnosis has completely changed the lives of Jeniekah and her family. With the support of the Clarence Valley community, we can help ease the financial burden and allow her family to focus on what matters most, Jeniekah's recovery. Every donation, ticket purchased, raffle ticket bought and dollar raised will go directly towards supporting Jeniekah and her family as they navigate this difficult journey.
