PAT BROWN JR
MONTHLY HIT OF COUNTRY MUSIC | SUNDAY 13TH JULY | 1PM - 4PM | FREE
Pat Brown Jr is an acclaimed Australian country music artist, born and raised in Woolgoolga, NSW. From a young age, he was surrounded by a diverse mix of musical influences that helped shape his unique sound—one that blends tradition with a fresh, personal touch.
At just 12, Pat was discovered by legendary bush balladeer Brian Young. Under Brian’s guidance, he met some of the greats of Australian country music and gained invaluable experience. Although plans to tour together were halted by Brian’s declining health, the experience cemented Pat’s determination to honour his mentor and forge his own path.
Pat’s early career was marked by standout performances and wins across eastern Australia, including runner-up in the Bush Balladeers Star Quest and multiple awards at Tamworth’s Hats Off to Country Music Festival. In 2007, he won the Aussie Bush Idol title at The Man From Snowy River Festival a key moment that inspired him to explore and celebrate the land through song.
After a break to travel and reconnect with his musical roots, Pat returned with new energy winning the inaugural Track to Tomorrow Award at the Bungendore Country Muster and being voted Most Popular Artist for three consecutive years. Backed by Kross Kut Records, he released his debut single Those Mountains of Mine, followed by the Best New Talent and Stan Coster Memorial Awards—honours made even more meaningful by Stan’s Woolgoolga connection and family ties.
In 2019, Pat released his debut album Get Along, produced by Michael Vidale. Featuring heartfelt originals and collaborations with iconic bush balladeers, the album is a tribute to the people and places that have shaped his journey.
Catch Pat Brown Jr live here at the GDSC, where he’ll share his stories, songs, and the unmistakable sound of true Australian country.
